The Trademark Story

TMP (Trademark Properties)  is a club basketball team that has a history dating back to 1996.  Starting with the Port City Soldiers sponsored by Trademark Properties, all the way up until to today.

We have competed in tournaments with AAU, YBOA, and Big Shots.

John Pearson, Head Boys Basketball coach at Porter-Gaud School and Antoine Saunders, Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank and assistant coach at Charleston Collegiate, are co-founders of the organization named Summer Hoops Program and co-coaches of TMP basketball.

In the summer 1996 we began working on individual skills of players who sought help, and assisted in positioning players to be exposed to college basketball coaches. There were suggestions that we should coach a summer club team and the momentum began.

Most importantly, our organization grounds each player with the fundamental skills it will take to compete at an extremely high level and requires the athletes to put forth major academic effort, and represent themselves at tournaments with their appearance as well as maturity.

Our Season

TMP Basketball has tryouts for each season at the end of February beginning of March. We play in tournaments throughout the southeast, and on some occasions, nationwide. We start playing in April and end our season around the end of July. For more information, please contact us here.
